Attend this webinar to learn the structure and requirements for the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program as mandated by the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS).  Learn what are the 5 elements for a structured program and what disciplines are necessary to ensure the program is addressing problems appropriately.  If you have any involvement with quality improvement you need to attend this session.

 

PRESENTORS

Penza Imes, RN, BSN

Thirty years of nursing experience with sixteen years in the long term care field.  Previous positions included Staff Development, Director of Nursing, Dementia Unit Manager, Infection Control nurse as Nurse Assessment Coordinator.  For the last nine years, I have worked both one on one and with groups of health care providers with a focus on resident and clinical outcomes related to quality improvement.

 

Toni Daly, RN, BSN

Held various position in nursing homes over the past 25 years including Unit Manager, Nurse Assessment Coordinator, Staff Development, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing.  As a Project Director with Quality Insights, I have provided educational programs and resources for homes related to Quality Improvement, Improving Quality Measures, Staff Stability and Person Directed Care issues. 

 

PSNA CE APPLICATION

 This activity has been submitted to PA State Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. PA State Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

To receive the certificate the attendee must complete the program evaluation form and fax it to 484-466-3716.  Please remember to include the name of the person as it is to appear on the certificate and the address to which the certificate is to be mailed.
