This is an opportunity to review the conventions and guidelines related to the assigning of the ICD-9-CM code for diagnoses.  Even though we are preparing for the implementation of the ICD-10-CM coding system, there is still a need to ensure that the ICD-9-CM code is assigned following the Coding Guidelines, rules and conventions.  This presentation will provide such a review.
