  • During the session, we will discuss the challenges in finding the “hidden gem” diagnoses that are less prominent in the record. We will discuss how knowledge of clinical conditions and the plan of treatment directly relate to the coding of the primary diagnosis in I0020B. Throughout this process, we will discuss the coding guidance for I0020B and how to differentiate the reason for the SNF as compared to acute care.
Our quest will lead us to find GG’s ideal scoring, and uncover hidden treasures in documentation. We will discuss coding requirements for section GG, and teach participants how to score this section, evaluate documentation and support optimal coding to ensure that GG and our Prince are in a long-term, committed relationship.
