Restorative Programming: Making a difference one step at a time
I will review what restorative programming is and how it can improve the resident’s quality of care. We will review the difference types of restorative programming and what components are needed to code the programming on the MDS, but also what is needed to ensure compliance with it as well.

Chelsea Lowe, RN, CMAC, RAC-CT has worked in long term care for 18 years as a STNA, MDS Coordinator, and Director of Clinical Services. She has held regional and divisional roles in reimbursement and enjoys teaching and training others. Chelsea firmly believes that giving team the tools and resources they need to succeed and to promote positive outcomes within facilities and bettering patients’ lives.
Chelsea does specific trainings and speaks at the corporate level on subjects like Case Mix Index, Quality Measures, Survey Outcomes, and Survey Readiness. In her spare time, Chelsea can be found cheering on any sporting event or relaxing at her camper.
1 Contact hour will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity. Criteria for successful completion include attendance for the entire event and submission of the evaluation form.
